Keep your heart under check!

Blood pressure dramatically increases your risk of developing heart and kidney disease and increases your risk of stroke and heart failure sixfold. Subsequent combined cardiac events, myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality were almost identical in the two cohorts, but admission to hospital for heart failure was significantly lower with valsartan. If the calcium channels are reduced, the heartbeat becomes irregular leading to a fall in blood pressure, fainting, and potentially, if untreated, death. These are the symptoms which can mean a patient needs a cardiac pacemaker fitted – but they may be exacerbated by treatment for high blood pressure which blocks the calcium channels.

Blood pressure is simply the pressure exerted by the blood against the blood vessels as the heart pumps. Blood pressure is more and more frequently measured using an automatic blood pressure monitor that can also be used at home. Place your measuring arm palm-up on a table at a 120-degree angle so that the cuff is at the same level as your heart. If your arm circumference is greater than 13 inches, purchase a large cuff to ensure an accurate reading. Aerobic exercise here means light exercises such as fast walking, which keeps your heart rate between 110 and 120 beats per minute. Something you can do without shortness of breath.

If you have heart problems, the changes in blood pressure and waste levels associated with HD can cause problems. This shows the force of the contraction of the heart and the tone or condition of the blood vessels. The diastolic blood pressure is the bottom number of a blood pressure reading.

Exercise could do a lot of good
Exercise not only prevents hypertension , but also reduces blood pressure, sometimes as much as drugs do. Thirty minutes of activity done at an intense level for at least three days a week may be enough to make a difference. Mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure) is common during pregnancy. In some women, it can become more. A total of 1298 patients with essential hypertension were included.
